摘要:
It is well known that the L^1 optimal transport between two probabilities is concentrated on transport rays. These rays are minimising geodesics, and therefore allow for a reduction of the dimensionality of some geometric problems. The aim of the course is to discuss this method, present some of its applications, and its extensions. In particular, we will discuss its application to the isoperimetric inequalities, and its extension to the setting of vector measures. We will also study the closely related second-order Beckmann problem and the martingale transport problem.
